Hermes has been one of the most expensive designer purse in the world. It has designed some of the most famous bags in the world. Two of the type of bag are known as the “Kelly bag” and the “Birkin Bag” The Kelly bag was name after a model/actress Jane Kelly. In 1984, on a flight Jane Birkin found herself sitting next to the president of Hermes, Jean-Louis Dunman. During the flight, Dunman commented on Jane’s big purse that she needs to fit everything for herself and daughter. Their conversation led to the creation of the Hermes Birkin handbag that become so famous and well-known till today. Hermes Crocodile Kelly Bag was named in honor of Princess Grace Kelly of Monoco. The price of Hermes handbag starts at around $12,000 and can go up to about $80,000 online.
I was shopping with one of my student’s parent a couple of days ago, and we went into Hermes shop and bought a Hermes Birkin 35cm Orange handbag. This newest Hermes purse is the classic Hermes bag is made of durable, scratch-resistant Togo leather. We got this purse in Thailand, so it was 280,000 Thai Baht, which is about $8637.43USD.
